Shelf Life gives Dead Men Don’t 4 Stars

“I am really big on action thrillers and mysteries that feature detectives or spies, the CIA, etc. So a book featuring a former black-ops guy as the leading man? I’m sold. So, Andi gets kidnapped and Levi gets called in to rescue her. And to make things worse, it’s an inside job. Andi doesn’t even know if she can trust Levi, and this just complicates things more. I absolutely adored Andi and Levi, both apart and their chemistry with each other. This book was also well-written, it flowed very nicely. This is a part of a series, but can be read as a stand alone. I do plan to read the other books in the series.” ~ Shelf Life

Read, Think, and Watch reviews Dead Men Don’t

“Dead Men Don’t is an action thriller that comes with everything that is indigenous to this genre. A plot that demands your curiosity, adrenaline, and full attention. A central character that excels in evading danger with a swift flick of his hands. In short the book has everything that usually goes into an action thriller but then there is also the romance quotient that overshadows the entire book which makes the book more of a romantic thriller than an action/spy thriller. The language and narration is flawless in terms that it runs smooth and flows without any obstructions. The build of the story is so good that it absorbs the readers pretty quickly into the book.” ~ Read, Think, and Watch

Linda Pirtle of Venture Galleries reviews Dead Men Don’t

“This thriller/romance/adventure story sizzles with action in diverse settings — a secluded, well-guarded estate, a remote mountain cabin, headquarters of a crime family, and a harem in a desert palace, all believably created. Pepper’s characters ring true, and we learn a good bit of information about self-defense for women as well as how to prepare for a black-ops mission, planning, weapons, fight strategies and explosives. Levi exemplifies a curious set of ethics; he’s committed to protecting those he serves and loves; yet, he’s not afraid to take action outside the law or to commit murder, when the crime is heinous. All in keeping with the title: Dead Men Don’t. In a very interesting way, O’Neal has written a story about strong women as much as the strong men who love them and protect them.” ~ Linda Pirtle, Venture Galleries

Miki of Miki’s Hope Reviews Dead Men Don’t

“I did not know what to expect when I started reading this book. I was pleasantly surprised. It is not often that Black Op tough guys actually have hearts of gold—or that spoiled little rich girls have backbones of steel! I really can’t say any more without giving away the plot so I won’t.” ~ Miki of Miki’s Hope
